The Art of Surfing
Maryland-based artist and surfer Stephan Koch is always traveling the world in search of the perfect wave —and Negroni cocktail! Recent surf trips have included Tamarindo, Costa Rica and Sayulita, Mexico—each place providing their own unique set of colors, cultures, and waves to inspire new work. Just as water (h2o) consists of two elements: hydrogen and oxygen, so does 32o [pronounced Three-Two-ohhhh] Gallery consist of two parts: art and surfing. Indeed, from the Delmarva coastline to the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean, 32o Gallery is there!
The Art of the Giclée
A Giclée (pronounced zhee-clay) is a high-resolution, archival print using high-quality, pigment-based inks. The result is a longer lasting, more authentic, piece of artwork. As such, we like to think of our Giclées as truly originals due to the process involved, and because each print is handfinished by the artist with wax-based pencils and chalk pastels.
